This was built over 850 years ago..
I wonder how many buildings built in 2013 will be with us in 2863 ..............
Lovely detail and texture Barbara
850 years, ago?? That's all??
wonderful detail barbara belting textures and tones dont think i will be here then a corker nice one
Wonderful stonework, Barbs, great textures, unfortunately I shan't be around in 2863 to find out . Carol
I'll let you know when the time comes.
Must have been the same builders of my local bridge that the monks have used for 800-900 years.
Is it still under the Builders Warranty?
Great work, sound and textured. Many of them probably will stand erect, but I wonder what would happen to the recently built ones.
Not many Barbara that's for sure , good detail and I love the textures.
All fall down well that's the new one's, but this will last forever. Superb textures of the stone and great composition
A great textured image
They knew how to build in those days for sure, Barbara.
Not only well constructed, but amazing how the stones have held their shape so well for so long
I love stone work anyway, this is really nice; built to last not built in obsolescence like most things today, good textures colours and tones, well taken Barbara nice one, regards Leon.
Shouldn't think anything will be left standing then. Lovely textures, Barbara.
Love the texture and tones on this Barbara, nothing today is built to last! This is why we are having so many problems as to where to dispose of all the waste.
Lovely comp and tones. I've raised the same question re our roads. Hands up anyone who thinks any of them will still be around the length of time the Roman Roads have lasted? At the rate they are deteriorating, I'd give some 10 years max before they vanish into the potholes!
A lovely old structure, solid and rugged.
Its as old as i felt on new years day barb, nice comp.
Great texture. I am waiting in great anticipation for the year 2863
Wonderful textures and tones brilliant detail nice one.
"They certainly don't make em like that anymore?"
A wonderfully crafted composition stuffed with loads of wonderful shapes, textures, and tones.
You've got to marvel at old world skills.
Nice composition, lovely tones and texture.
Indeed good question, is the planet going to be flooded or in the grip of an ice age... Who knows, but the shot is lovely!
Great texture and detail...
thats easy none! fine old stone work with great texture captured
my neighbors have put up several chicken huts made of bamboo trees and plastic sheeting--- a cow tore one apart just last week
This is excellent Barbara !!
That's a good find and a good record Barbara.
Not many, I wouldn't imagine, Barbs! Lovely tones and textures
Love texture and tones excellent shot
Excellent close up showing the texture. Still looks good - a lot better than some of the concrete structures of today.
certainly lovely textures captured Barbara
Nice tones and texture.
an interesting thought. Even this house here has been there for near on 500 years.
Quote: Excellent close up showing the texture. Still looks good - a lot better than some of the concrete structures of today.
A well composed abstract study ~ love the textures!
All the very best for 2013 Barbara.
Really great textures.
Lovely detail and texture
The age of this structure is impressive. You've got a good, detailed shot here.
Good question and good image Barbara.
How many ? Not many, if any.
'Super Lovely color Image' ~ Peter
