Not quite like Lou Reeds song Walk on the wild side...
This is the River Aire near to Saltaire.
Lovely image Barbara, great composition, well spotted and captured.
Very nice shot, I like it a lot!
belting comp barbara wonderful colour and tones a cracker nice one
Super image. Must make the effort to walk down there!
Brilliant Barbara... Lots to say just no time, so I'll come back to it!
Luverlee.... Well done Barbs.
A brilliant shot - one of your best
Smashing shot Barbara, I like this VERY much.
Great comp. Looks like such a lovely place to walk.
Good timing well framed, the people make this shot work well, nice one Barbara
The two figures are almost - not quite - in silhouette against the bright areas of the rushing water. The shrubs framing the f/g and the vignetting add to the atmosphere.
A very attractive shot. I like the contrast of light and shadow, turbulence and quiet.
Very romantic photo Barbara those were the days! love the way you managed to capture this, great feeling and atmosphere!, regards Leon.
Great contre jour.
Always loved that Lou Reed song.
And it is not quite like the Beach Boys
Surfing USA song either !!
Excellent composition & timing, Barbara.
a fine foaming Guinness here with tints of brackish, nice movement, looks like she did not realise her bum looked big in that
Great shot Barbara
Fantastic composition and lovely light Barbara
A brilliant and classic Lou Reed track, whcih I think he would be rather chuffed at this accompanying image. I can almost feel and hear the rush of water in the wear.
The river looks pretty wild to me, No menacing cats or wolves, tho!
It does have that 'Wild' feel to it and the silhoutettes are great
as f/g interest. An image you can feel.
P.S. I've taken note of your 'rant' re Camera Clubs -
until I joined EPZ that was where I learned everything I know to date
(apart from reading Digital Magazines etc) and yes you're right about pleasing myself
which I can do on EPZ. I enjoy club competitions which do have 'rules' and guidelines
but they don't allow for much 'Arty' stuff.
Nice and gritty to go with the wild water.
Great comp and capture of that fast water Barbara................ If the budgies would be quiet for a bit I bet I could hear it
A great composition, Barbs, looks like the river is pretty fast-flowing there. Carol
Lovely romantic capture, Barbara, especially with that gorgeous churning water!
Quite like that song...it's nearly as good as this super image, Barbs!
Hey thatís some wild water captured there Barbara.
Nice one, Barbara.
PS -- Thanks for reminding me of the Lou Reed song.
What a wonderful photo! Back to true pictorialism. Love it!
Lovely view and comp Babs, Peter..
very active rushing water superbly captured, without the people it would not work as well (sounds a bit Irish) think you will understand
A beautiful capture Barbara!
