Cistus: Rock Rose
Captured in the early morning sunlight, there were 3 of these pretty shrubs before the devastation of last winter. Guess I am fortunate still to have 2 surviving and in full bloom. No manipulation used, just the result of the early morning light. Reminds me I ought to get up and out more often in the early hours, but will I?
Sorry about only clicks of late. Daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter at the weekend, then our son staying for a few days too. To crown it all, the last of our Jack Russell Terriers tried to follow Ross when he set out on a long walk on Monday and has been missing ever since. There have been many tears and a great many trips around the area by all 3 of us trying to find our little old lady, Hope. Wonderful news as of this evening when a neighbour spotted her in an area we'd never have thought of! She's now well bathed, fed, watered and of course, cuddled and settled safe and snug into her own little bed for the night. Think we'll all sleep better for that!

Excellent image, boy do you have to be quick with these, they drop there petals so readily, alas, mine (Pat) took an awful battering during the winter sat exposed in the front garden, looks so sorry for itself.

Glad you got the Jack Russell back. Years ago my in-laws lost theirs for 3 days. we hunted high and low over surrounding countryside. eventually police contacted and said a local person had found her and taken her in. returned safely. Whilst we had been searching into the night Lucy had been curled up around the good samaritans fire!! (it was winter!). Great shot by the way. Paul
