My very first photograph of a Kingfisher...and have learnt that this is a male.

For a first shot of a kingfisher you have done remarkably well, Lillian: I have yet to see one, never mind capture it with my lens.

I got so excited seeing the squirrel the other day, and the otters were great although too far away to get a shot.

I can still remember my first Lillian it stays with you.
This is a great Kingy with the lines down the back and slight turn of head. Exposed on the whites very nicely and very good detail.
Tip to bring the eye out is select it and then adjust highlights to just lift it when in shadow from the turn of head.
