Three great images of this very weird looking insect from another planet - squint eyes, no mouth, just beard and those antennae to kill for ! Smile I do like V1 the best because it looks me sort of straight in the eyes Smile

You couldn't make it up! You don't really need all these made-up creatures for sci-fi films when we've got an abundance of these little beasties flying around.
Super macro/close up. Smile

Mornin' Carol

V3 for meSmile

Totally fed up at this end - the projected fair weather for this morning, was re-forecast last night as rain - how true they were.Smile
Also rain forecast for tomorrow too - the one time of the year when I can normally spend some interrupted time up my woods, trying out different ideas is a no no

Your macro images have been a revelation to me Carol. It's been fascinating to see all your critters at close quarters - and I particularly like the moths. The antennae on this one are amazing! I hope you have a lovely Christmas and a happy 2013 - I hope the new year will bring you good and changed fortune. Smile

These are the mother of all macros Carol, the detail is phenomenal, you've really nailed them and they are a vast improvement on your cabbage white close ups of the other day! You've really thrown the gauntlet down to the Big O, I wonder if he will rise to your challenge! He will be spitting out his cider and cursing all and sundry when he views these!!!Tongue
