I have never been one for converting flowers to mono, however this is something quite special Phillip.

I usually embrace the colour of flowers, but this is truly stunning.

There is a certain starkness to this B and W presentation of the gerbera but it does seem to suit this particular flower brilliantly, Phil.

Unusual in mono but very effective, Philip. Wonderful tones.

Well it works incredibly well in mono - I'm so thankful that I can see in colour though.
It reminds me of Jordan
I taught a boy whose cones in his eyes were damaged at birth and he could only see in black and white. One day he wrote in his book about the sky being blue and his mother was over the moon thinking that he could see colour at last - it was so sad when she realised this was just him learning to use words about colour, and that it wasn't an improvement in his sight - so this is what Jordan would see - and its still very beautiful SmileSmile

Love Helen's comment - I do like flowers in mono (some don't, I know) but this works really well and brings out lots of the detail.

Different enough to work, Phillip. I feel it works, even though it goes against all norms for flowers which we always see in glorious technicolour.
