You are braver than I - I stay away from these as much as possible. My neighbor just cut her ground ivy with the lawmower, and woke up a nest of ground hornets. She was hit about 15 times and had to go to emergency for treatment. I know they do a lot of good, but I wish they weren't so easily "irritated".
An incredibly detailed shot Carol. Never thought about them having those hairs on their bodies.

What lens?! Why my Sigma 105mm DG macro lens doesn't produce such good quality and sharpness on bees? I think wasps are much bigger than small bees...
