I was photographing this very large cricket, when a shield bug decided he wanted to get in the picture, and rushed up the piece of wood, onto the cricket, up his leg to the highest point, and perched up there, surveying his kingdom! I was laughing so much it's a wonder I managed to get any images at all! I know V.3 should have been the first upload, but V.1 was my favourite.

Had me laughing too, Carol: what a marvellous situation to witness.
Reminded me of a Goon joke in which Spike's character ( whilst playing a non-com in the Army) was asked to use his binoculars and report what he was.
"Nothing, Sir".
"Well, go up that small hill and report what you see now".
Breathlessly he arrives back and when asked states "Still nothing, Sir, but I can see it much better".
Funny how an image can trigger a memory or an event, and this excellent set did that for me today.
