Hi all,
Here's a rather charming little Austin Six car.
I think it dates to just after the First World War.
I liked the quirky angle it was sitting at in the grass so
didn't change that.
Thanks to the few that voted for my e-type jag.
Hope you're all having a good w/e.
Been nice and sunny here in E. Yorks.
Cheers,
Barbara Smile

A beautiful old Austin, Barbara, and I think they have so much more character than modern cars. Well captured. Carol

Nice old motor with plenty of character, great reflections in the bodywork too.

Great Shot - it works for me leaving it at the angle it was parked on the grass - my uncle had one of these and we once travelled from Derbyshire to Blackpool in it on a Sunday afternoon we just drove up and down the prom when we got there and then came straight back home it was the early hours of Monday morning when we arrived home but it was a great adventure xx

Dates from the early fYs of motoring when cars had so much more individual character than today's cloned versions.
Nice shot of this famous model and your short focal length has added emphasis to the front and bonnet area, Barbara.
Ronnie.

You can easily liken this dear little car to a human being, giving it human characteristics, which is something I never do with modern cars. The little tilt makes me feel it has an enquiring mind. It's lamp eyes are looking at me and saying, "I may be old, but I am still full of life". Daft, eh?

A lovely old car and your image does it great justice. I just think about that starting handle though - most modern drivers wouldn't want to deal with that.Grin

These old vehicles have a charm and character no modern one has ever yet achieved!

This is a rare vision in BC Canada. I go to plenty of car shows and while there are always a good number of British cars, this model is very seldom seen. I do not recall ever seeing this early version and I would remember if I had. Thrilling to my eyes. TG
