This old chap was laying near the front of the enclosure and as I had my 100mm lens attached I could not get all of him in shot, so I decided to take a close shot of just his face.

Having your 100mm. lens only may have proved a blessing, Gary, allowing you to concentrate on the gorilla's face for this close-up portrait: the term "laid back" comes to mind when I see this shot.

Works well as a close up Gary, being able to concentrate on the fine detail has worked well in your favour!

Terrific detail in this close up, at first i thought this was a self portrait of you relaxing after a hard days work down the coal mine!Wink
