Crikey, what a set-up.....
Iris in a vase, drop of glycerine on the petal. Copper gerbera placed in a squash bottle in just the right position so as to reflect in the droplet. Hand held 150 watt halogen lamp to the left to light the gerbera then Sam holding another 150 watt halogen lamp to light the iris. All other lights out.
Tripod, f4 at 1.40 second to give emphasis to the droplet. Remote control
Tidy up in PS and hey presto
Hope you like, LARGE and F11 shows off the gerbera even better

Love this type of shot, but I am not sure if a reflected gerbera compliments the image or not.
Still a great shot though.

Am I the only one who sees a photo taken of a nude woman lying down? The purple/yellow part being her breast, the droplet her nipple and the red part her out of focus leg ? Be it all done with some strange but very appealing colour casts.
A well thought out technique resulting in a really beautiful image.
Phil.
