My new lens, the Nikkkor 18-200mm AF-S 1:3.5-5.6 G ED DX VR wxyz73;**OOO.
Or Smoo, for short.
With the advent of Nikon's latest 18-300 super-duper zoom, there's now a few of these older shorter-range models available at a reduced price and so I decided to trade in all my (3) lenses and get one.
And herewith follows the first batch of shots ... clearly this will take a bit of getting used to, but after a couple of hours in Dublin I can cheerfully say I've no regrets whatsoever in simplifying things to a single-lens-covers-almost-everything system.
If anyone's got one of these, or has any suggestions on getting the best out of it, I'd be very grateful.

I use my Tamron 18-270mm so much. It might not be the sharpest pin in the tin but it sure saves a load of faffing. ![]()
Interesting set of images. The lens looks fine to me. I'm sure you have to get right down to the nitty gritty to see any difference in lenses anyway.
I'd love to see the Big Damn Band.

Got a second hand one of those lenses last week too. Judging by your pics, I should be very pleased with it. Loving the locks.
