My first offering for the Saturday Shadows club.

A concrete pillar under a walkway.
A bit abstract, I accept, even more so as in fact I've inverted the colours here (Hit the wrong button in Picasa and liked the result).
The original is included as a variant.

Sadly I couldn't get a better angle to see the complete graffitti as there was a fast-moving stream in the way.

Now I've seen v2, I can understand v1 much better.
I like the bold colours in v1, but it looses the roundness and the lettering on part of the pillar - so its v2 for me.
Thanks for joining in and uploading this Smile

Good to see your are jumping aboard the bandwagon with the shadow theme Barry.
Glad you told me what this was though.
It could have been part of a bandstand for all I knew !!
Mick.

I very much doubt that anyone else thought of an inverted shadow, Barry. I sort-of doubles the range of what's available!

Bill told me about this - the oddest shadow I've ever seen!

Excellent gritty abstract. Works very well with the inversion.

I like both versions, though I can see how V2 would fit the group better.
V1 makes you think a bit. It looks to me like the end of a roll of film & the left side got exposed to the light outside the cartridge.

I prefer the original, Barry. Less abstract and more understandable.

Excellent comparison, spot on.

I prefer v2 too. I liked v1 but then saw the original which somehow works better for my eye.
Ann
Judy had another look and it's the textures in the wall on the original which I like.
