Doing a bit of a clear-out and discovered a few of these historical artifacts.
I had thought I'd cleared out my entire tape collection a while back, as all my music is now stored on computer and smartphone.
Still, it's nice to see one of these again, especially in such a cheerful colour.

As for what treasures are on it - well, I'd best leave that to the imagination.
Suffice to say it's a fine example of a 'mix-tape'.
And for any younger viewers out there wondering what on earth I'm talking about, go ask your parents...or possibly grandparents.

I had my clear out a couple of years back Barry.
Got rid of all my 1970's heavy rock collection.
Led Zepplin and Deep Purple still sounded OK I reckon.
But what on earth I heard in Uriah Heep and Frank Zappa is beyond me !!
Mick.

Gosh, was it really blue? I can only remember the grey and clear ones.
Oh, but the mixes. Still got all mine, but nothing to play them on. Smile

Love the nostalgia trip going on here, but photographically this works too with the juxtaposition of colours and angles.

Yes, memories. We spent a lot replacing vinyl with tape just as CDs started to appear.

We still used these at school when I finished teaching (2006) - oral exams had to be recorded on them. I still have some blank tapes of my own, I think, and a single-deck with stereo mike input and a twin-track for copying . . . . . Haven't used the decks for years, of course, but they look good on the bookshelves Smile

I like the composition and the colour combination. I still have some, but not as cheerful as this one Wink (just grey)

C30, 60 and 90. The 90's had a nasty habit of failing. I had 8 track in my car...what a disaster that was!
