A lovely early Spring day on Grasmere Lake.

I liked the typically English Spring sky and managed to capture a decent reflection as it came & went in fairly blowy conditions.

A ND grad was used to hold the highlights in the sky and a polariser managed to reveal some detail below the water in the foreground.

I'm interested in what you make of the composition, because sometimes I like it & sometimes I think the jetty looks a bit awkward coming out of the side of the frame.

Thanks for looking.

Baz

It's not the classic comp with a jetty and I too can't decide...that aside it's a good shot.

Lovely reflections etc. It is hard to avoid the obvious and for it to work well. I'm afraid I would prefer the composition with the jetty either coming in bottom left or somewhere from the bottom of the frame. I guess cliched compositions become so because they work so well. But then exceptional images often come from novel and original ideas. Hmm, food for thought for me. Cheers.
