From last weekend on the way to Skye. It was so cold that frost formed on my camera strap as I watched. I had the spot to myself before hearing voices behind me. It was one of those voices who told me what temp his car was reading. Brhhhh - - -
Wow - I was about to say awesome but was beaten to it! Just beautiful at large size too.
Unbelievable. What a wonderful photo! For me just perfect - in colour and composition. Congrats!
What a cracking shot Melanie, simply beautiful
Amazing the difference a couple of weeks makes! Stunning image Melanie.
Simply stunning image - just love those crystal clear tones in the fg and then the mountain emerging from the gloom in the bg - enchanting.
Absolute Stunner ! Mel. These cold days are priceless, as this image is ! Ron.
LARGE is absolutely stunning, this would look great gracing the walls of anyones's house. 10/10
WOW! what a stunning image. This is such a beautiful photograph. You should be very proud. :o)
superb snow scene,well taken.ray
Beautiful image, well worth viewing large !
Superb winter image.
Superb image Melanie. 10/10 for this shot.
Sublime light, well worth the inconvenience of the early morning start. Wonderful shot!
Superb image, would make a lovely print
An absolutely glorious image, well done for sticking with it at that temperature.
Terrific atmospheric picture. You can sense the cold.
Yes a stunner. Those peaks are just so beautifully lit.
One of the best images I have seen on here, shortlisted this
Excellent! What a beautiful capture. The light on those mountains is incredible, love it..........Sandy
Just superb Melanie
Its been said before but i agree
It's just one amazing image.
Stunning image - great comp and tones. It has already all been said I just wonder if there is another shot here with telephoto of the tree and the mountian behind?
Fabulous shot....you can feel the cold
This is exceptional, Melanie. A gorgeously atmospheric image. The mist allows the brittle tree to stand out so well and adds great stature to the distant mountains.
One of the most beautiful images I have had the pleasure of viewing in a very long time Melanie. The large version is sublime!!!
Simply beautiful Melanie.
Its a cracker!
Sensationally sublime if that's possible, tremendous work on the frozen moor. The colour just hitting the Black Mount but not the tree, worth it's weight in gold a shot like this. I'll bet your wee heart went bump when you saw this vision in front of you.
All the very best Melny, look forward to seeing the rest of your trip to the Misty Isle.
Worth the frozen feet and diesel - you forgot to tell that bit!
As all above say - a sublime shot that is remarkable for its originality as well as it's beauty. I'm hoping you'll also have some close shots of those frosted trees - we sailed past some in the car and I nearly yanked the hand brake on but had to get to station.
Glad you didn't yank the hand brake Claire, I had enough laundry in the boot.
Stunningly beautiful! In particular the soft pastel colours are superb. I am so jealous. An excellent capture.
Wonderful image Mel. That looks sooooo cold. Glad your camera mechanics were still working. Beautiful capture. Like the outline and shape of the mid distance trees against the mountains. Paul
Stunning shot Mel. I love that pink light on the distant mountains.
By looking at this Image, I can almost feel how cold it is. Very good. Get's my vote.
A stunner Mel - chilled to perfection. Roll on Winter
