Bee and flower

Bee and flowerYou definately managed to get the right bit in focus so well done. A little lightening in some photo editing software would probably bring out a little more detail Well done though these shots arent easy

BeeI agree with some of the comments above. However:

Given that you've used the kit lens to take the pic i don;t think its too bad considering it's difficult to get a shallow depth of field with that lens and also tought to get very sharp focus.

I would say that the border is way too fussy seeing as the photo itself is already busy.

I find it extremely difficult photographing bees, especially at hot times of the day. Lots of patience is need to wait for the bee to get at the right angle which is generally facing the camera and perched on top of the flower.
