Simple pleasures

Some days it really is just the simple things which keep you on a - relatively - even keel.

The other day I was up at 3am for a while when Ma was on a mission. Then couldn't really get back to sleep properly so when it got light I took the dog for a walk. It was really quite misty and very very quiet.

I like the quiet hours before everyone is awake. It's a hangover from the time when my four children were little and it was the only time I got to myself all day. It has to be said that things aren't all that different now only these days I relish the time before Ma is awake instead
