Rainbow Blessing...

An early start on Saturday found a small group of epzers being greeted by the most magical rainbow across the falls as the first rays of morning light penetrated the rising spray. Cassiecat and Mynett have posted their takes, I believe Graham is about to go with his... this is mine.

I'm really not sure about this one, it's not so much my sort of thing, rather a lot of detail to my simple eye... But the rainbow was irresistible, the Rowan berries charming and the curve of the rock... well, I like rock and curves!

And apologies to those of you native Welsh-speakers - I tried!

Large is more magical...

Thank you for looking Smile

Ah, I'm glad you decided to go with this one. I too like the colours from red at the top through to geen at the bottom and to the left, and the rainbow tying them all together in a ribbon across the middle. And the chosen shutter speed has added just the right amount of movement and detail to the falling water. I love this, Carol.

So glad you did. Wonderful example of how to bisect a scene with compressed perspective. You were at the 250 end ?

A beauty.

131mm, Dave - but I'm not sure how that relates to full-frame - nearer 250, I should think! Carol

A totally enchanting image of a waterfall, so fresh and different to the "run-of-the-mill- ones", even if they are very good, too. The range of colours and the light is what, to me, puts this in a class of it's own. It is a brilliant picture and you should be so proud of it!
