I look at this cottage and imagine it's bracing itself against the elements. Fabulous image, love the light and colours.

Thanks all for your comments. This cottage built on the verge of bogland where turf harvesting and selling was a source of income for my great grandfather . Originally of thatch, that is an extension to the rear of the cottage when the family reached no 13. Last occupied in the 1980s.It still stands as a testimony and monument of hardship past and present.
