Mark,
I was out shooting Landscape in Killarney CO Kerry and she popped up for a few seconds in front of me. I switched the camera settings quickly to Auto for sport and snapped away. I never saw a deer as close before in the wild..........Paddy.

I was thinking, Paddy, that's either a tripped shot (laser etc) or very good luck!

I grew up in Warwickshire where we have similar Chinese Water Deer and I've NEVER got THAT close!

So congratulations on your reactions and a fine shot!

Mark.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for viewing my Photo. The shot was unexpected; I was walking to the edge of the hill to capture the valley scene below with the lakes. She had a younger deer with her and I managed to get a few shots before they disappeared into the undergrowth. I like this shot because I managed to capture the beautiful Lakes of Killarney in the background.
