Thanks for looking and I would appreciate your comment and/or advise to help me to improve my photography.

I have had a longstanding interest in photography but taking pictures has been sporadic. More recently, after getting my first DSLR (Nikon D80), I have been trying to improve my photography. My enthusiasm has increased since I joined the local camera club where I have had some modest success in the monthly competitions but I would like to improve. To this end I would value criticism and comment to help me to take better pictures. Thanks for looking and taking time to view and/or comment.
