Have tried several times before to photograph one of the tidal pools on the beach at Southend on Sea, rather than try and get the whole pool in as normal this time I've got for just a corner with the famous pier in the background.

The strong compositional elements made from both the tidal pool and pier on the horizon pull the viewer into and around the image. Movement from the waves tease the viewer and add interest on the margin...well worth all the thought and compositional ''playing around'' Clive - a winner in my book ![]()

I really like what you have done here Clive. The arrangement of the shapes in the comp is excellent and the contrast between the water movement of the sea and the stillness of the pool causes a tension that works well.
