Another capture in the Anchor Bay series; this image depicts a Maltese Luzzu (ie. fishing boat) safely at haven amid the cliffs that engulf the bay.
Shot very late in the afternoon.
Thank you for viewing and as always larger is better.
Wish you all a splendid weekend
Exposure :- 1/3s - @F11 + ND Grad.
This is lovely Bert, super light!
looks great Bert
Good one Bert, you've caught some great lighting here
Lovely light Bert.excellent.
You paint with light, Bert. This is beautiful - love the golden tones of light on the cliffs.
Great tones and that wonderful light...Magic.
Lots to see and the light is subtle to draw you in..nice one
What a beautiful place, gorgeous light and beautifully composed
Nice foreground interest and cloud formations.
Nice one Bert, if i may suggest, try cropping some of the foreground rock as it is quite dominant & your horizon seems a little wonky, but still a nice shot.
Beautiful lighting, fabulous as usual.
There is a 3D look to this Bert. Wonderful colours and light.
good morning bert, stunning work yet again.
Wondeful shot. Lu
this is just wonderful i want it for my wall
the colours are just fab
Beautiful tone and composition.
Tones are nice on this.
Another nice shot...
Excellent work Bert
a thoughtful composition with appealing light.
Excellent composition and light Bert,superb.
Your use of light is super Bert wonderful image yet again
This weather would have been nice, great capture
Yes, it is the light that makes your pictures so special. I like it how the boat is so very well put in scene by the light and how golden the shine on the cliffs is.
A superb image Bert, well done once again
Excel. Top class
ooooooooooo this is nice Bert, I like this ALOT!!!
Really wonderful, well done..
Love the light on this one, excellent image
Just love it - great scene and light.
A marvellous image, Bert. A great location and wonderful light.
Lovely lighting, as always, Bert.
I recently saw what was to me a new word, it was "photographist" and that perfectly describes you Bert. I interpret it as being a combination of photographer and artist, and you are certainly both!
Great detail and mood, one little niggle and perhaps its only me, but I find the horizon level dips to the right, its difficult to see but that's what my brain tells me I'm I right or I' I going mad?
This is fantastic, he lighting is amazing.
Those clouds look very ominous though.
Brilliant shot well taken Bert.
Nice tonal work with all the main colour in the boat. Works very well.
Not very long shadows for late in the afternoon though
Still a fine image.
Thank you all for your kind comments good & bad ... all appreciated
Luis : You might have a point there so please don't visit the psychologist ie. you are not going mad ....
Paul : Can assure you it was late a'noon ie. 7.45pm ... at least that's how its considered here in Malta
Jim : Your comments flattter me but I can assure you that I consider myself to be much much less than that and am fully aware of how much there is yet to learn. In fact, in the coming weeks I shall be joing the Malta Photographic Society wherein there are quite a number of aces .... but I certainly do enjoy my photography at this level.
Beautiful lighting on this charming scene.
Like the lighting - and the buildings at the water's edge add interest to the shot.
Lovely tints on this one Bert, it also has a nice composition; which incidently has captured a sense of serenity. Very restful picture.
I prefer the composition of this one compared to the 'A Bollard's Tale'. Both are great. Like the light on the fg rock and the view
Amazingly gorgeous...I love the low/warm lighting, it's perfect!
Lovely deep photo, giving so much opportunity for the mind to wander around a while.
I saw your next upload first Bert. I like the light in both, but prefer the fg in this one.
Nice image it looks a lovely place.
great fg & light here Bert.
Now that's an atmospheric shot. That's certainly somewhere I would like to watch the sun go down. Agree with Nigel on the fg - this is my fave.
