I took this photo up in the high valleys in the brecon beacons when My dad and Thevalleywalker went out for a sunrise. Thank you Alan for letting me use your lens!
Thank you for looking.
Really like the photo Bethan but not sure about the writing, its a bit bold and takes your eyes away from whats a good shot.
Good image though sun less central might be better.
Title/type detracts for me.
A lovely capture
Well captured sunrise with enough detail in the foreground...well done.
I agree about the title being a bit big and yes, the sun is central, which is supposed not to be good from the composition point of view, but rules are made to be broken and if you like it that's what matters.
However, even if you do like it central, can you see that the left hand sky is not really doing anything for your picture? It's a bit empty...
What I'd like you to do is use your left hand to blank out that side of the picture so you can't see it. Notice how the whole thing becomes more dramatic?
So, a simple crop changes the whole picture in an instant!
I really like this picture because of the lovely pattern of light on the grass that echoes the angled light in the cloud in the sky I'm told that the posh way of saying it is that it repeats the pattern
Hope that helps Bethan and keep borrowing Alan's lens!!
Nice photo, I agree about the words, but the photo itself is wonderful, perfect composition and timing,
Beautiful image with superb colours and lighting just love it as is
I think its a fabulous shot as it is Bethan. For an eleven year old its a fantastic landscape with superb colours and a great use of the nd grad filter along with perfect control of the light.I understand why you had the sun central as you wanted to show the cloud inversion to the left of the pic and of course I was there with you .
Fab work,keep it up!
Yes i guess the writing is too big as i only just turned 11 i am still learning, thank you very much for all of your advice i will use it for the next time i try to do it myself.
What a brilliant effort, I would be extremely pleased if I'd taken this photograph, well done.
Lovely picture Bethan. Goggz is absolutely right in his advice.
A beautiful scene - well worth getting up early for!
Fabulous image Bethan, it looked good on the back of the camera and ypu, it really is a goodie.
You have coped well with shooting into the sun (I have given up trying now as I am really rubbish) and I like the way you have alos managed to get the cloud inversion into the shot too. I was so atken with getting a shot of the other valley I forgot to get a shot of the lake in cloud as well...drat!!
Pleasure to loan you my lens and glad to see you getting something this good with it!
It was a real early morning for us all but for someone as young as yourself to get up to trek up a hill to get a shot deserves a mention - doubly so when you think that when we left our home it was raining.... ask Trooper who went back to bed!!
Well! I'm impressed Bethan! I would be very happy getting such a nice picture and I'm quite a bit older than eleven...
I understand what your Dad says about the inversion layer, but I think it deserves a picture of it's own (bit like thevalleywalkers latest upload). Anyway, still a tremendous effort and I do hope you are pleased with yourself
Yes Goggz i am very proud of myself this is my 1st sunrise that i have done
