I like both shots, but for me the previous shot works best, I think the cropping is a little too tight in this image. This is only my opinion though, both are very well composed and with lovely colours. I would have loved to be able to view large and see more detail.

Yes, works well. Both shots are good in their own right.
I think this letter box format gives a greater focus to the Bluebells.
