Still experimenting with making new backgrounds for flowers. For this background I used a pink gradient, contours and polar co-ordinates to get some texture and light effects.
V2 is an alternative frame.
Thankyou for looking.

Superb images from the master.
These are fantastic, well done.
Both versions work so well Pamela but think that I prefer version 2 with the slightly darker border. This is such an artistic creation.
More fine work here Pamela.

Nice lighting and I like the framing in both
Interesting how you did the bg, like it!
Fantastic colours and presentation.
Superb detail on the dahlia but the b/g really adds a different dimension to this.... i'm torn between the two versions so i'm not going to attempt to choose lol.... great experiment and I'm loving the different variations you're spoiling us with ... well done.
A bit nice 'ennit.
I think version 1 would make a very striking greeting card. Or maybe the box to some very expensive chocolates.
Excellent shot, presentation, manipulation, imagination, all aspects Pamela. Such great work. Lovely work of art.
love em both, they look 3d amazing
Excellent work Pam

This is stunning, you have created something very special here.
The backgrounds you are creating are wonderful & help to made the dahlia almost 3D.
Beautiful colours, clarity & presentation.
Absolutely wonderful, Pamela, colours, detail, and superb presentation. A must view large !
Beautiful shot and treatment Pamela; I have a slight preference for V2.
What can I say? Three user awards.....wow, I'm over the moon.

Superb presentation Pamela - thanks for the mod on my rose - Jude.
Wonderful photography and processing work Pamela. This time I cannot make up my mind which is best.
A lovely composition and the presentation is superb.
Excellent one Pamela, clean, clear, beautifu. Well deserved awards,
Nice work Pam----------have a good day
I love everything about this.
Well photographed Dahlias and very innovative b/grounds Pamela.
I think the darker framing of V2 works best for me as it helps to project the centre piece.I really like that.
In V1 I think the heavy darker outer border tends to enclose and take away the impact of the image. If you alternate between the two images V2 fairly jumps at you. Clever work.
Lovely backgrounds to compliment the super flower
Wow beautiful! Superbly presented and crisp!
Very pretty images, both are lovely.
Thankyou all for your votes and comments.
I understand what you are saying, Brian.

Beautfiul flowers and very effective manipulation. I prefer 2 but just love this woodgrain-like effect.

wow, really breathtaking
Thankyou Andy and Yung.
The standard of these images is amazing, such clarity and beautiful colouring. I prefer the second one, purely because I think the darker border draws the eye to the flower more. This would make an excellent birthday/greeting card.
