I tried something new with this image. I got my camera all set up, then with the lights off, I used a hand held small light, and slowly moved the light all around the flower and vase. It was about a 20 sec long exposure time.
I then applied some adjustment layers in CS3
I love applying artistic filters to my images, I am adding this image in the varients with different filters applied.

Camera:Canon EOS 400D
Lens:18-55mm

An excellent set of shots. The lighting in #1 lifts it over #3, and #2 is a superb different approach.
#4 was too grainy for my liking.
