I tried something new with this image. I got my camera all set up, then with the lights off, I used a hand held small light, and slowly moved the light all around the flower and vase. It was about a 20 sec long exposure time.
I then applied some adjustment layers in CS3
I love applying artistic filters to my images, I am adding this image in the varients with different filters applied.
