Decay.................. Not the most inspired shot even for a 100th upload, but it caught my eye and deserves a place in my blog. Taken in the dark with my trusty android and flash. A corner of a garage, sharp angles, lots of textures and lots of rotten wood, job for the summer!!!!!!!

Recession hit Christmas. Our Christmas lights were turned on last night, I missed it, but decided to have a look tonight and was suprised at the lack of them compared to other years. The main pedestrian part of town had a canopy of lights in previous years, but this year a few strings of lights,...

A tease................................;) I have had to order some stuff to get my rail project going, but one of the items is an old CD/DVD drive, removed all the PCB's and mechanical bits of it to leave just the laser carriage. This shot is the tiny gear drive from the motor to the carriage, ta...

Another project! To improve my macro photography I have been trawling the net for a macro rail and came across a brilliant, cheap solution. Further details to follow but I am excited about this, to say the least!!!!! But what came out of the initial search for the necessary equipment I came acros...

These are some bronze horses which are one of many windchimes we have, I really wanted the B/G to be nicely OOF but when I was lookin...

Accident and Emergency. Spent a few hours in the local A & E dept, my son had hurt his neck and was in agony with it, nothing serious we found out later, just sprained! I am not knocking the NHS or the staff, they do a superb job under enormous strain and can only commend them for the duty a...

Which Way? Whilst shopping in town this afternoon I spotted this old chap looking in a shop window, nothing out of the ordinary there, but then I spotted his faithful dog looking the otherway, which intrigued me into taking the shot. Later I discovered he was looking for his masters wife, who was...

Micro Bulb. Had a few minutes so I set up my bellows and shot the bulb out of my mini Maglite, it is only 2mm in diameter and trying to get everything set up, in focus and lit correctly just goes to show this micromacro lark is harder than it seems. I must get my studio sorted, a New Years resolu...

Cereal Killers. Found this on the worksurface this morning and made me chuckle so I just had to take a picture, nothing fancy, nothing special, just a brief moment in an otherwise normal day.

Gear Train. A close up of a gear from work, when looking at it normaly there seems little or no damage, but when taken with a good macro lens, it becomes apparent, damage has occured. Taken with my Sigma 150 macro and ringflash, handheld.
