This is probably a lead balloon photo but I am trying something different from the normal Durdle Door shots. I can't remember if Ive seen something like this before, so if I have it must have been burning away in my subconscious somewhere.
Any comments, positive or negative welcome

great angle of this landmark...nice texture in the black and white processing.. like it a lot.
I like this, my first thought was how dramatic it looks, gives the feeling of a large sea and rock thats actually greater than in real life. Very well done!
It almost looks like a horses head drinking from the sea.
Great bold composition and contrast.
Daring composition, Alan!!
I like this a lot, especially as a mono.
Top work, sir

That's actually what I thought it was from the thumbnail. Good one.............Sandy
i find this slightly unnerving
i think it has the feel of some unknown powerful thing entering the water (or coming out)
..........too many sci-fi movies or cheese before bedtime.......
Strong composition Alan, cracking mono image.
Works for me
Great shot. Done a mod, hope you like,
Works for me mate, and is certainly different to the more usual Durdle Door images, especially like the composition and contrast with it.
Strong image - I like it!
Thanks for the mod Alan, there is some more detail showing in the shadows
Always difficult to get something different from a location that has been done a thousand times before. I think the use of mono in the picture has made it it better and I do like the texture in the water and the rocks.
Really love the power and drama of this image, saw it small first and am glad i can now see it large. Its become a super powerful object penetrating in to the sea from the sky, a bit like a a Hollywood war of the worlds type movie. Really proves that the best camera and lens you have it the one with you at the time. Super way of highlighting detail of a well known object to give a fresh powerful take on a classic.
Thanks for sharing.
