Indian White Bengal Tiger or Royal Bengal or White Indian tiger is found in the eastern areas of India like Assam, West Bengal and Bihar. White Bengal tigers tend to be larger in size as compared to the normal Indian Bengal tigers (Panthera tigris) and are known to be their sub-species. Zoologically, the White Bengal Tigers are known as Panthera tigris tigris or P. t. bengalensis. Historically, they are also known to be in the sub-species of Siberian tigers, the Panthera tigris altaica.
