Early Saturday morning 8.00am on Scotland's East coast and Coldingham Bay was the venue here. I sat on the rocks for the best part of an hour just watching the tide going out and the sunlight illuminating part of the landscape in front of me. The surf reminded me of a washing machine as it surged against the rocks, displayed it's white foam and disappeared into the blue. It was nice to sit here for a while listening to the sound of the water and to enjoy the tranquillity of this place. My thanks to everyone for your very kind comments and votes on my previous images, as always they are very much appreciated. Bill.

Fine coastal landscape composition, Bill: wonderful sunshine on the rocks with the seas foaming against them.

Wow! Superb shot! Love the foreground and the contrasting housed piece of land at the back, and the colour of the sea as well. Excellent compo!

Bill,

As we always look for that great dramatic sky, I think we sometimes forget that there are so many aspects that make up a great composition. I think to this shot they are rolled into one, from the sunlight hitting the clarity in the rocks to your decision if I am correct in saying not to blur the water but freeze the drama of its action, through to the darker contrasting line of houses leading up into a rich blue and well balanced sky........another lovely and balanced composition throught..m8.

Paul.

A most gorgeous well captured composition, in which you have captured from what seems to be the perfect point of view. Beautiful warming light in abundance, and clarity in depth.

Regards Nathan
