Taken earlier this morning 7.30am. A very quiet and tranquil Lanark Loch this morning with only a few swans and ducks on the water. The low overnight temperature of -2dgs produced some mist over the water. I found this spot and waited till the sun came up through the mist, and was fortunate to have the swan swimming past at the same time. My thanks once again to everyone for your time to view and for your kind comments on my previous images, they are very much appreciated. Bill.

Magical misty view across the Loch with the swans adding some fg interest just at the right moment.

well framed between the trees the swan moving silently in the early morning light, this image is full of atmosphere![]()
Lovely shaped bit of light from the sun in the mist, Bill. The swan is a bonus in a tranquil early morning image.

Bill, very nice composition and frame taking advantage of the change in weather. I like the way that you have captured what is left of the darkness in the trees to the right and the binging of a new day with the mist shrouding the the sun as it sheds its light onto the shrubs on the left.
How I will miss our lunchtime chats about photography, when I move to my new job. I don't think I will ever be able to say thank you enough for opening my eyes to what is around through the lens.
Paul.
