Earlier this year (June) I managed to spend a few days on the Isle of Skye, one of my favourite places had to be Glenbrittle and the Fairy pools,the amazing colours of the rocks and the clear water (not that a lot of water was here at the time) I think it was one of the driest times that they have had on Skye for many years. Standing in a foot of water to get this shot with the red colours on the rocks adding something a little bit different. My thanks once again to everyone for your very kind comments on my previous images, they are very much appreciated, Bill.

Well worth the wet feet to capture those rocks.
I was interested that this too is called the Fairy pools.
{We were at the Loch an Uiane (the green loch) also called the Fairy Loch
near Glenmore Lodge in Aviemore in August see p/f}
This looks a beautiful spot.
I think you'd need a list of places to see in Skye
as there are so many photogenic areas.

This looked like a painting in the thumb. Still does full size. Seeing into the water suggests a polariser. In any case it is real world magic. TG
Bill, very nice pov, giving a full range of colour tones through the rocks, but the pure freshness and clarity of the water is what I think makes this shot.
I'm sure we will visit this place together in time to come.....speek soon.
Paul.
absolutely beautiful and a joy to view if only from my computer![]()
That wonderful leeching rock is well displayed here Bill, a little walking in the river maybe?

If you manage to get here on your own you can sometimes see the fairies bathing in the chill waters beneath the Black Cuillin.
