Heading North from Portree towards the Trotternish Ridge, noticed the small boats turning in the wind, waited till they were pointing towards the Old Man of Storr, for this capture. The small blink of sun shining through the overcast sky only lasted for a few moments which I think adds to the overall image. Sometimes you don't have to be good, Just Lucky. My thanks once again to everyone for your kind comments on my previous images, they are always very much appreciated, Bill.

A most impressive bit of the Skye scenery, Bill, and very nicely captured in your shot.
The line up of the boats takes the eye round and points towards the middle and far distance with the Old Man almost in silhouette against the overcast.
And as you say that break in the clouds allowing light to land on the slopes below the cliff face is the icing on your photographic cake here.
Very well done, my friend.
Ronnie.
Bill, have to agree that you picked the shot well with waiting...............like the Sun on the slopes, very nice comp.
Paul...........
was worth the wait and the pool of light as a bonus a fine capture

The boats are in perfect alignment, and a beautiful bit of light. You make your own luck, Bill, you knew what you wanted and waited for it. Great image.
