Before reading your remarks up top, I was reminded immediately of Dougie's image of yesterday.
The wet slate in the f/g contrasts so well with snow capped hills beyond.
Very well composed landscape.

The blue/brown contrast works so well. Good diagonals in the composition and wonderful texture in the slate. Excellent image.
