Thanks to those few who stopped by long enough to be impressed by my last offering, which seemd to have slipped under most peoples' radar again! I liked it, anyway; and still do, so there!
I remain undaunted and so here's another effort to keep the PF alive and ticking over.
Shot as a collection of jpegs, which was pretty dumb but there it is.
Loch Etive, captured as two sets of 5 jpegs exposed respectively for highlights and shadows and combined in PTGui, and finished off in PS.
The 600 pixel limit doesn't really help this and the shadow detail seems to have disappeared at this scale but, what the hell!
The distant peak left of centre is, I believe, Buachaille Etive Mor, but I've got no idea what the mountain straight ahead is called: the nearest I've got is "Glas Bheinn Mhor," which seems to be the name of quite a few mountains, and probably means something like "very big mountain." As I have no Gaelic, I'm somewhat at a loss
Perhaps one of those many Scots and Scottish experts out there whose marvellous images adorn these pages can put me straight??
All the best and thanks for stopping by.
