This elderly Indian man stops to rest in Rajasthan...
With Respect-Please see Large.
Another fantastic image Simon. Do you ask them can you take their photograph?
Um sometimes just nod to engage..other times gotta be fast..the unguarded moment I beleive they call it. Cheers Si.
A riveting portrayal of humanity.
I never seem to be able to catch people in meaningful ways without them noticing. 'The nod' might work - must give it a try. I do a lot of travelling, but have never been to India (yet). I'm off to Oz and Kiwiland in a couple of hours.
Great details, love the framing and the way the viewer is drawn into the scene (like standing face to face with him)...the motion of the woman balancing a basket is a nice touch, as is the foreground finger. I'd walk on hot coal to have this in my pf
Thanks Bill and Tommy for UA much appreciated guys!
Great in mono Simon...
An image that speaks volumes Si! My congrat's for your awards
Stupendous image Simon. I think you've posted the colour version before but it works better in B&W - it's easier to focus on the individual elements and make sense of them. Well worth the UA's and more.
Loved the colour and now love this more. I like how the girl is in that little open framed area. Watching and wondering. ...........Sandy
Had to come back, regarding the finger, it somehow bothers me. Not sure if that's good or bad. It does draw me away from the girl and back to him.
Hi Sandy, yeah he is resting on a wooden stick, perhaps it not obvious from the pic, hence the weary. But thanks for your comments and observations.
Kind Regards Si.
These really do work well in mono.
Love this Simon, works a treat with fantastic rich tones and clarity.
Another stunner...look amazing large..
Like the composition...
Stunning depth.....detail, feel....stunning....
Thanks Jenni for UA.!
Amazing image, I love it.
Tremendous composition really makes the image. Great title too!
A fantastic shot, superb subject and excellent processing.
My heart started pounding harder when I opened this incredible candid image. The composition, the tones, the detail, the clarity are all technically wonderful. But it is that expression in those old teary eyes that strike such a chord for me.
Hope to return and see an EC on this one - it's fantastic.
Superb front to back.
Great mono portrait!
Thanks Ann! for your award! Much appreciated.
That is travel Si , moreso than portrait. Superb take and title.
Such distant connection and framing , love it.
