It took me over an hour yesterday to set up this indoor shot (arrange the three freesia stems, get the lighting as I wanted it, etc.) and only seconds to capture the image.
Admittedly, there was a coffee break in the midst of that hour to help allay increasing frustration at the non-compliance of these awkwardly shaped flower stemsSmile.

My thanks to all who looked at my Hyacinth shot.......your time and attention are much appreciated.

Ronnie.

When I see the beautiful glow in your flowers, I wonder If France's most popular lampshade was based on a lovely freesia.

A worthy hour-- a beautiful image---

someone who used to post on this site shared with me her idea of taping the flowers to a black bg--didn't work for me, but I tried it only once!

Have you tried cutting slits in a piece of card to hold them just where you want - below the view you will take. I've also used blu tak to hold flowers Grin. A beautiful shot where your patience has certainly paid off Ronnie. Moira

Well, your patience was worth the trials and tribulations, Ronnie. Are these from Morrisons? If so complain about their produce being so un-cooperative!
Excellent set up showing them off beautifully, as always.

Thanks for these tips/suggestions, Moira, which I shall keep in mind, and thanks to all for the kind comments.
I did eventually end up celloptaping the stems to the inside of a vase but even then they were not in same focal plane and wads of wet tissue were employed to force the issue.
And they are from Morrisons, Malc........I shall lodge a complaint forthwithWink
Ronnie.
