Former ephotozine member Nigel Holland churns up the asphalt at Santa Pod today during the Easter Thunderball. Nigel has been taking photos at the Pod for the last year on behalf of the Wellingborough Evening Telegraph. He decided to get in front of the camera by purchasing his own car and 'aving a go. Nigel is currently sitting 2nd in the Sportsman ET class which isn't bad for his first competition, eh? He is looking for more sponsors if anyone can help.

Nigel had an oil leak on Saturday which stopped him running all day. However, his Friday qualifying position wasn't bettered all day so on Sunday morning he was still 2nd. Then the leak got worse so he had to pull out from the competition, leaving him pretty devastated. On the plus side he was featured on Anglian News this evening at 6.30pm. He will be available for autographs in the near future

So a fellow race fan then! Great stuff. The Pod's a wierd place, you feel like you're right up close but it's the devils own job to get pictures without clutter isn't it?
I wasted a couple of seasons of good photo ops when crewing for Fireforce, whereupon I was just too busy to snap..
