Well the other night I went to Knowlton Church just outside Wimborne with Stuart to see the meteor shower. and also to try a bit of light painting.

There was around 30 - 40 people there so a lot of my shots had people walking around with torches!!

We did see some meteor's but unfortunately none of the 60 shots taken have any of them. They were always just out of shot.

This shot is my first attempt at star trails and light painting so apologies if it is not that good. This shot is 60 frames blended together using star trails. The foreground was lit by Stuart using his maglite.

Ideally I would have liked to set up in position a bit earlier and get a lighter foreground but ill save that for another visit.

Not sure if I prefer the colour or B&W. Let me know what you think.

For a first attempt at star trails it looks really cool. I think I prefer the b&w version as I think the colour distracts away from the star trails.
