Hello,
I've missed the last two weeks and will catch up later . Dads PC had a disk crash and its taken two weeks to fix it. All photos were backed up but havent been recovered yet .
This was taken in our garden today . The local killer had a success. I would have liked the bird to get away , but saw the kill and got this shot.
Thanks for looking,
Charlie

Jon
What a shame for the bird, but dinner for the cat, good capture, well done.
Wicked!
Nice capture, in every way...
Lucy, rushing before the final...
Hi Charlie every photographer's nightmare the crash off the P/C. This is a well timed capture of a real true life thriller - you can see from the comments who is cat lovers and who fight the bird's corner - this is nature but I'm afraid I'm in the birds corner. Domestic cats are to blame for the sharp decline in songbirds as per the RSPB before I get another heated debate going.
Eco system takes place. Great captured of the moment Charlie.
Dennis
The eyes are amazing on the cat. It's a shame for the bird but cats will be cats.

Hi Charlie,
I'm so glad that you commented on my Trio of roses. Because of that I have been able to look at your brilliant portfolio. Well done!!
Shame about the bird but that's what cat's do if given the chance.
Great image all the same.
June
What a good shot. Shame about the bird but you have caught the moment brilliantly with a great expression from the cat and good details of its prey.
Jean
Quote: Outstanding detail.
You have captured the face of Global warming ! Well "they" blame that for the birds going but we all know it's the garden Moggy to blame.
i have known birds escape but they usually die from streess later.
Great shot.
Keith
once, my cat nearly killed a baby bird but it escaped. the next day, it sadly died from stress.

I have never seen a cat kill a bird and then eat it, and thats why I find the whole thing so pointless. I know it's nature, but it saddens me every time I see it happen. (I'm a softie at heart when it comes to animals and birds), however, It's a fine shot and my vote goes for your photographic skill in this one Charlie, a superb shot.
Geoff.

Awesome photo Charlie, as always. You really do have a talent - keep up the good work.
Will resist the temptation to go on about the impact of domestic cats on the local wildlife - it's been said before...
Please to hear your Dad had the PC backed up. A reminder to us all to be disciplined.
Great shot Charlie, really nice detail in both the cat and his prey well done and keep up the great pictures
Richard
