What a belter of a shot Sandra. I have seldom seen the plumage so well displayed and a bonus with the bird on a perch. Stunning shot.

They stayed here so late they were getting their summer plumage and dark heads. Also - they should be in peak condition as we get through loads of expensive feed!!!!!!!! Actually we are tailing off the feeding for the summer now as there aren't that many birds coming in
