I looked out and there was a blue sky with white fluffy clouds so I decided to have a walk up to Hadrian's wall with my camera. By the time I got there the sky was dark but I was still in bright sunshine. I stopped at the gate onto the fell, took one photo and someone put the light out !!
By then it was black all round and the gateway was knee deep in mud so I turned round and came home
I did use a polariser but I haven't changed the contrast or saturation but to me they seem a little bit over the top.
I liked the light quality and dark sky so I have posted it to see what you think.

Does show that menacing sky dosent it. I fancy a walk by Hadrian's wall and over the hills too!! The Picture is clear and rather inviting!!!

Beautiful light, it really makes the dark sky stand out, lovely shot,
Chris.
Beautiful view. Light does very funny things sometimes. If you'd prefer it, you could always lower saturation etc. It's important to have an image you're happy with, even if it is 'as taken'.
Lovely details and composition. Well caught!
Wonderful composition and lighting. Love the contrast between the sky and the foreground. ![]()
Hello Skye, I find your sky detail so appealing and having the light on the fence and grasses makes for a beautiful scene.
