We’ve moved on to shooting another group of Red Squirrels – these ones are within easy walking distance of home.

After years of trying I still cannot persuade Norman, my husband, to learn how to use the computer but he is keen on photography and I’ve relented and agreed to process his shots.

From now on I will be sharing my Epz portfolio with him – this is his shot of one of the squirrels which live near Haltwhistle Burn.

Please view large if you have time.

This is full frame uncropped - we have lots of close ups because we had to disguise the whereabouts of our last squirrel subjects but now want to show these ones in their environment

Don't you just love that wonderful, enquiring little face? A delight to see this Red in its own territory and a wonderful capture.

Delightful capture and comp - super alert pose, coat detail and eye contact. Lovely light, colours and clarity. Looks so good in the natural surroundings.
