He heard me and froze for a split second and I got this shot before he fled with his hazelnut.

Please view the large version and press F11 if you have time.

Many thanks for all the clicks and comments on my last images and the lovely welcome back I received when I started uploading after almost a year away from the site. You really are a lovely bunch.

Although I will still look at the gallery when I can this will be my last upload for a while. My internet connection isn’t very fast at the best of times and Ephotozine is so slow that it is getting very frustrating to use. No doubt I will be drawn back at a later date when I need an “Ephotozine fix” and the memories of the frustration start to fade. Smile Smile Smile

Your recent red squirrel shots have been marvellous, Sandra, and this is no exception. A beautifully captured frame filling shot.
Sorry to hear of your connection problems - hope you'll be back with more shots like this.
Ronnie.

Excellent shot indeed !

Another one who is sorry you are taking a break - I have enjoyed your work and this shot is a lovely one to leave us with for a while (not too long mind) The Colour and detail and the classic pose make this a winner and I am sorry I cant give you my award (i have used it) but I am sure others will follow and give more than just the one deserved award for this.
