Superb sharp capture and guessing this is full frame. Would love to see it with a little more space around and the full tail though
Richard

A cracking shot, the details are very nicee.

(I would have much preferred this)
but
I was too close and couldn't back off without scaring it - tried portrait and landscape but something had to go so I chose the tail. Sad

What a fine image Sandra . So sharp and colourful . He is happily chewing his treat.

I'm sure you will enjoy using your G11 WHEN you get time to use it . Smile
It would have been perfect for this shot if you had taken it with you xxx

Reds are my top favourite woodland dwellers and this is a superb image of one of them. The light and detail is wonderful.

Superb detail and coat textures and tones. Love the pose - he/she looks so beautifully relaxed. Lovely light and rich colours and the full-frame presentation looks great {in spite of the tail! - I got three-quarters of a woodpecker the other day :-( }

This is a truly impeccable shot of the red squirrel, Sandra, and although a bit of the tail is off frame (as others have mentioned), I do not feel it really detracts in any way. Lovely piece of work with superb detail and colour.

i appreciate your predicament, and do like the tight crop. theres a couple of white flecks by the tail which just draw the eye.lesley
