I am the dust sailor
Drifting deep on the southern breeze.
I smell the cold
Welsh sinking sea
Float down through the mirage heat
of the south with me.,
I comb my way down beaches
To the jetsom dry towns.

thanks 4 looking

Words and images can be a potent mix. I did a bit of Googling, found the text on the Muswiki.ru site but no real explanation...
Dust is a strange image for a sailor; it works here, those eyes are old and tired. Dust to dust.

An excellent use of light, showing enough detail to allow us to read his expression, but suggesting that he is deep in the shadows of thought

This feels like such an intimate portrait - you've captured him, and we can relate. Diagonal focus? I'm still practicing!

The epitome of wisdom resides in your portrayal of that face, Ollie.
A portrait that I envy you.

Have a wonderful week-end!

Bill

A well-worked man with a well-worked face and beautiful light to show it.
