A tree bough growing into itself forms interesting shapes. This tree in the woods I interpreted as a tender kiss, although I look again and it takes on a different form.
I have converted this point & shoot image to mono and boosted the black to add drama to the composition.

I hope you don't mind, but i have added a poem that I wrote about the Gimlet tree in Australia that gave me the same impression as your photo, which I love by the way. the Gimlet grows in semi arid country, particularly around the gold fields of Kalgoorlie in WA.
Hermaphrodite trees
poised in delicate erotica
or bent in lovers arch of ecstasy.
Anorexic prima donna limbs
to tortured muscled seduction.
Skinned with flawless silk
begging a breathless touch.
Perfumed with earth's raw musk
wombed in her belly.
Blooded by western sun
till shadowed by dusk.
and cloaked with the modesty of darkness.
Anchored by the allure
of fevered embrace under the
sensual secrecy
until a passing light
reveals them frozen still in
startled passion.
