I agree wholeheartedly with the positive comments about this image, but I do have a negative I'm afraid. The background doesn't do the wonderful foreground any justice at all.

It looks like you used a flash, so could you have dropped the aperture to say F16, dialled in lots of negative exposure comp on the camera and boosted the flash output to give a dark(er) background but properly lit figure, then shot on rear curtain synch while moving the camera to blur the b/g?? She would be pin sharp because the flash would freeze her at the end of the exposure. Only a thought. I have no idea if Canon's such as your can do those things, but get back out there and shoot this again!! Smile

thanks for the adwice,looks interesting.i compensate -1,5 the flash light,centre weighted mettering.1/180sec,f8.i made few images without flash,with 5d.looks the same,but in this one i like her smile and expresion

every portrait of this kind clues unfairness. after so many girls i shouldn't have seen in pictures, this is not my talk about subject. keeps me wondering what is that makes a human being so special, so addictively sweet, in a shot so stunningly ordinary and verbal. again, subject is on fire, your stile is evocative, the detail is not technical but artistic. this one is both thunder and carriage. like it!
